A busy morning in Primary 7
As we continue to celebrate Catholic Schools Week and the themes of community, Primary 7 attended morning Mass, visited Patrick in the Parish Office and met with local MLA Emma Sheeran and local councillor Sean Mc Peake.
After participating in and attending morning Mass, the pupils visited Patrick in the Parish Office. He told us all about his roles and responsibilities in the office and the Church and he showed us the beautiful new Paschal Candle. We really enjoyed a guided tour of his office and it was so interesting learning about the day to day running of the Church.
Primary 7 also had a visit from Emma Sheerin MLA and local council representative Sean Mc Peake. The children put our politicians in the hot seat and had many tough questions for them. We would like to thank them for taking time out of their busy schedules to talk to us.
As Catholic Schools Week draws to a close, it has been wonderful learning more about our local community and those in it who make it so special. We would like to express our gratitude to all those we have met and talked to this week. An extremely valuable learning experience for all!
