Anti- Bullying Week and Road Safety Week
Next week we celebrate Anti-Bullying Week and Road Safety Week. The theme of Anti-Bullying week is one kind word.
One kind word leads to another. Kindness fuels kindness. So from the playground to Parliament, and from our phones to our homes, together, our actions can fire a chain reaction that powers positivity.
It starts with one kind word. It starts today.
Odd Socks Day Monday 15th NOVEMBER
Odd Socks Day is an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! The message behind Odd Socks Day is to be kind to each other and respect each other’s individuality.
SO PUPILS SHOULD WEAR ODD SOCKS ON MONDAY 15th TO MARK ANTI BULLYING WEEK!
Children will take part in a variety of activities in school to mark Anti-Bullying week.
The theme of the 2021 Road Safety Week is Road Safety Heroes - rather than add to over-worked parents stress threshold, we opted not to set the challenge of dressing your child up as a road safety super hero! Instead we want to get the message across of 'be bright, be seen' in these dark winter evenings. Pupils need not wear their uniform on Friday 19th - they simply wear their brightest, most refective clothing!
Magherafelt and District Motor Club are supporting our road safety lessons this week. Sponsors of the Elk and MRF Motorsport Targa Rally are providing prizes for our colouring and poster competitions, so we appreciate their generosity.
We ask you as parents to take all opportunities to promote the road safety messages with your children at this time.
