AWARE NI guide to looking after your Mental Health
Dear Parent,
Today Monday 27th April starts another week for us in lockdown. There is very little normal or familiar about life as we know it. In St Brigid’s PS we know how stressful it is for you and your families, just as it is for ours. Two staff members have suffered family bereavements, we have a cancelled wedding this week also; everywhere there is change and this can bring stress. AWARE NI has produced some advice to help look after your mental health at this time. We have attached this document which we believe is very useful. Also AWARE recommend 5 steps to wellbeing in this short you tube video which we have linked below.

I have taken their advice to ‘Connect with others’ and Improved my own ICT skills; thanks to my niece Aisling we used Zoom to have an online family quiz at the weekend. I could lie and say that with my superior knowledge I won, but I didn’t! Keep checking our school website and Facebook as we try to keep our children feeling positive at this time of crisis. Thank you for supporting the school at this time as together we try our best for all our children.
Stay strong, stay safe, stay home.
