Well done to our Girls’ Gaelic Team who participated in the Castle Cup football tournament today.
In the group stages of the cup, the girls were up against St Patrick’s Glen, St John’s Dernaflaw, and St Columba’s Kilrea. The girls showed excellent teamwork and determination which took them confidently into the quarter final stages.
We then met Tirkane in the quarter final, which we knew wasn’t going to be an easy game. The girls put in fantastic performances all over the pitch and secured another win to see them through to the semi final.
Kilrea was up next, having played them before did not matter as the girls went out with a positive attitude and gave it their all. Despite a strong team effort, we were unfortunately defeated by a point.
