Primary 5 have been enjoying reading our new class novel, Charlotte’s Web. After discovering how spiders use their silk to float through the air, we became engineers and designed and created our own ‘Spider Parachutes’.
Just like real spiders, we wanted our parachutes to catch the wind and gently carry our spider through the air. We used our creativity and problem-solving skills to see whose parachute would reach the ground with the slowest speed.
Well done to our winner James who had the most successful design 👏
