Today our Primary 7’s attended Fan the Flame Mass at Celtic Park, which was celebrated by Bishop Donal Mc Keown. This Mass was in celebration of all the children in the Diocese who received the Sacrament of Confirmation this year. Our young people will soon embark on a new educational journey and Mass today was a time to bring everyone together and celebrate.
After Mass we made our way to Leisureland in Redcastle. The children had a lovely lunch and loved all the games and rides. They made some wonderful memories today and we hope they look back on their time in St. Brigid’s with fondness.
Ms O’Kane, Miss Mc Guckin, Clodagh and Maura all remarked that our pupils were exceptionally well behaved during Mass. They were so reverent and those that participated in parts of the ceremony did so with great enthusiasm.
We hope that our children continue to bear witness to the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
