ACTION MENTAL HEALTH – THE GREAT BIG PURPLE PICNIC!
The Virtual Great Big Purple Picnic coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week (18th – 24th May) and the theme this year is “Kindness”.
We have shared some ideas for events that can be enjoyed safely from home or in the garden and would encourage all our pupils and parents to get involved. We know that our young pupils may be missing their friends and the social interaction that they have on a daily basis at school and Action Mental Health have tailored some fun activities for them to both communicate what they believe kindness represents and also share with their friends. This is an opportunity for children (and the big kids) to get creative and use arts and crafts and to express themselves and connect with friends, all of which is highly beneficial to their own mental well-being.
Check out the dedicated page on the Action Mental Health website for more information: https://www.amh.org.uk/events/virtual-great-big-purple-picnic/
Let them know you’re taking part by tagging Action Mental Health on social media using @amhNI and the #VirtualGreatBigPurplePicnic
St Brigid’s PS staff will be making a donation to Action Mental Health fundraising for enabling use of this resource during Mental Health Awareness Week.
