As Compassionate Global Citizens we wanted to mark Empathy Day.We have been learning all about understanding other people’s feelings and points of view and had some wonderful group discussions. We made some superhero glasses to show that we can look at things from a different perspective. During our Literacy lesson we tried to empathise with the characters in our class novel- Under the Hawthorn Tree. This was such a valuable exercise. For the rest of the week we are going to look closer at others and take a mindful look at how they might be feeling- we will help them when they feel sad but also share in their goodness and most importantly we are going to try to spread a smile!
