Please support our ASC
11th Apr 2022
In St. Brigid’s we have a temporary Autism Specific Class (ASC) for Key Stage 1 children and hope that next year it will be extended to a Key Stage 2 Unit. The Education Authority is carrying out a survey to assess the need for such Specialist Provision Units.
This survey closes tomorrow 12th April.
We urge you to please complete this survey (again) - it is very important to those children and staff within our ASC, and to those children in our mainstream classes.

St Brigid's PS (Knockloughrim) is on page 4, and there are only 6 questions. Please get as many people to respond as possible - it is imperative that our Temporary ASC becomes a permanent, there is a clear and definite need for this provision and for opening a second ASC for Key Stage 2 pupils. We have almost 300 responses, but we know that Lavey can exceed that - we beg you to show the support for this much needed specialist class.
This is our last chance to have a say. Please make your views known.
