School Council News

School Council held their first meeting last week. Please see below the minutes from the first meeting. 

School Council Meeting  8/10/21

Items

1. Playground- P7& P6 would like a separate play time as they believe there are too many children in the playground. MMC will ask the teachers and Mrs O Kane.
2. Play Equipment- Basketball were suggested but SC too expensive to replace if damaged. MMC to ask Mr Doherty to restock play equipment in all playgrounds.
3. Dinners- SC will speak with Donna on Tuesday and ask about a better selection of food. There is a great demand for paninis to be reintroduced.
4. Long Break- Extra time for break on Fridays whenever Mrs O’Kane believes that the children have earned it. First possible date Friday the 22^nd of October.
5. Tracksuit- Pupils are very keen to have a school tracksuit or half zip for PE. SC will ask Mrs O Kane
6. Large chairs- P7A would like to return to their smaller chairs (like last year) if this is possible?
7. Halloween Dress Up

The majority of children are keen to dress up for Halloween but they were wondering  if the 22^nd October is too early? Older pupils wold like the option of wearing their own uniform insetead of dressing for Halloween. MMC to check with MOK.

We are delighted that several of their suggestions have already been implemented.

All pupils can dress up for Halloween on the 22nd October. Those pupils who would rather not dress up may wear their own clothes.
