The sun shone on the Termoneeny sports centre as 370 pupils from Knockloughrim PS and St Brigid's PS joined together for a traditional sports day.
Pupils rotated around five different stations, in this fun event designed by Mr Ryan Doherty. Winners in each category received medals and took their place on the podium with pride.
EA Shared Education Adviser Rachel Campbell expressed her delight at being invited to the joint sports day and she was very impressed by the excellent facilities at Termoneeny - both indoors and outside. Ms Campbell enjoyed a tour of the building from Mr Paddy Chivers and Mrs O'Kane which is used as a shared space for most of this shared education taught programmes.
Sincere thanks to the ladies from the Féile teams who provided tea, coffee and an array of treats and those who availed of the fabulous home baking sat at tables in the sunshine.
Well done to all the children who took part with such enthusiasm. We look forward to working with our friends in Knockloughrim PS next year.
