We are delighted to inform you that St Brigid’s PS has been selected to join the Active School Travel Programme. This is part of a three year project delivered by SUSTRANS, which aims to encourage more pupils and parents to travel actively to school.
Today P.5-7 pupils had a special visit from Donna, our Active Travel Officer. Donna delivered a short presentation on what SUSTRANS are, and discussed some exciting plans for the year ahead. We understand walking or cycling to school is not easy for every family, and there will be opportunities for all children to participate in the programme.
Donna presented Miss Martin, our Active School Champion, with some lovely resources and activities for the school.
