Donna from Sustrans visited our school today to run different workshops as part of the Active School Travel Programme.
The Rainbow Room participated in a ‘Cycle Skills’ session to help boost their confidence and skills on bikes.
Primary 4, 5 and 6 engaged in a ‘Mini-orienteering’ workshop. They worked in groups to use an aeriel photo of the school grounds to navigate to marked spots. They then used the clues to answer some active travel questions.
St Brigid’s and Miss Martin, our Active School Travel Champion, are working towards receiving the Bronze Award for our efforts to promote and develop active travel. Well done boys and girls for getting involved!
