Today Ian Campbell, founder of the Ten Foundations Charity visited our school to deliver a presentation to pupils from P.4-7. We enjoyed listening to Ian and how his charity has helped change lives for those in need in the Philippines.
Ian brought along some school bags and other items (thank you to our lovely models!) which have been handcrafted by mothers and fathers employed by the foundation. In turn, the money raised from selling the school bags allows their own children to attend school.
We were also delighted to present Ian with a donation on behalf of St Brigid’s Mayogall, which will help towards buying a sewing machine. This will allow the charity to continue to help women get out of impoverished situations by providing them with the necessary skills and resources to learn how to use an industrial sewing machine.
Ian kindly left behind some bags which can be purchased directly from the school. We will update the website with some photos of the selection of bags and their prices, so if you’re interested keep your eyes peeled😊
