Congratulations to our Netball team who were crowned Tri-County Champions today at Cookstown Leisure Centre. This tournament occurs annually and this year a total of 11 schools took part.
The girls remained unbeaten throughout the day with wins against St Patrick’s Donaghmore(5-0), Coagh P.S.(2-1), Cookstown P.S(2-1) and Donaghey P.S.(4-1).
With a total of four wins in the first round, the girls progressed to the semi-final and played Orritor P.S, securing another win (3-0).
In the final, Saint Brigid’s P.S played Cookstown P.S and scored an amazing 4 goals, securing them with a win overall.
The group of Primary 6 and Primary 7 girls played brilliantly today and demonstrated some super passes, quick thinking and fabulous shots. Miss McAlister is so proud of our Netball team and commented on their excellent teamwork and dedication to achieve this result.
